Author Study 

Internet Treasure Hunt

Introduction

In this internet treasure hunt you will choose an author and then use the questions provided to learn about them. Why they became writers, who inspires them, etc.  When you are finished with the treasure hunt you will create a VoiceThread to tell everyone about your author.

The Questions

  1. Which author did you choose? What drew you to him/her?

  2. What type of books does he/she write? Fiction/Nonfiction? Genre?

  3. Where were they born/grow up?

  4. Where does the author/illustrator live now?

  5. Did they always want to be a writer?

  6. Who inspired/still inspires them to write?

  7. Where do they get their book ideas from?

  8. What is their life like now?  You need at least 3 details(examples: family, pets, hobbies)

  9. Has the author won any awards or medals? If so which ones?

  10. Which books were your favorite?  What about them did you like?

  11. Would you recommend this author to your friends?
